TRAVEL INFORMATION PLEASE NOTE: This page is under construction: details about special accomodation rates, and specific campus maps will soon be available. The fifth conference of the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness will take place in Durham, North Carolina - USA, on the campus of Duke University. Durham, NC, is part of the region called the "Triangle" -constituted by the cities of Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill- and is serviced by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (airport code RDU). Please refer to the RDU website, for transportation information, maps of terminals, driving directions as well as rental car information. The two easiest options for reaching Durham or the Duke campus are by shuttle buses and taxi cabs. Information on both is available on the RDU website (see "ground transport & rental" section of their website) One of Durham's most beautiful tourist attractions is Duke University itself. West campus is of gothic architecture with its famed Chapel while East Campus is of Georgian architecture. The Duke 360 Tour gives some idea of the charm of both campuses (please note that you will need the IPIX plugin to view the 360 pictures, a link to get the plugin can be found on the Duke 360 Tour website).
