June 2000 will be an intense period for Brussels as the city will not only be hosting the EURO2000 soccer competition but also numerous cultural events
associated with its status as "European city of culture" during the year.
For these reasons, it is paramount that you think about your accommodations in Brussels early. You can either reserve rooms in a hotel of your choice or take advantage of the special rates we have negotiated with a number of them. These are listed below along with rate information and links to the relevant website when available. Except where indicated, all prices include taxes and breakfast.
Use the map that appears below to have a rough idea of where the different hotels are located with respect to the ULB campus where the conference will take place. Most hotels are located either in the "pentagon", the center of the city, or along the avenue Louise. All are easily reachable through public transport. In addition, transportation to and from the campus will be arranged during your stay. Hotels in the pentagon are about 15-30 minutes away from the campus depending on traffic conditions.
If you would like us to book a room for you in one of these hotels, please indicate your choice on the registration form.
These rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If your choice is no longer available, we will book a room for you in the most similar hotel available, and confirm with you.
Students and those on a limited budget should book a room in the "Centre sportif de la Forêt de Soignes (ADEPS)", which offers basic accommodations (i.e., no private bathroom facilities) that you can share with friends at an unbeateable price for Brussels. Note that this center is quite isolated and located about 15 minutes away from the university by bus. Buses depart from the centre every hour throughout the day until 11pm (June 6th update: The center is now fully booked).
